ThailandThailand International Orienteering Championship

Thailand Orienteering & training camp 2021 is back!

Dream orienteering in Pattaya: We’re relaunching Thailand International Orienteering Championships, Landrunning & training camp for 26 Dec 2021-2 Jan 2022. Entries have reopened and you’re welcome!

Koh Larn is the best known island of nature around Pattaya.
Dreaming of a Christmas holiday with orienteering in Thailand? We’re waiting for you!

New dates, new excitement

We’ve moved the dates to Christmas and New Year to allow all of you to come! In fact, Thailand is reopening from 1 November for fully vaccinated tourists without quarantine. Pattaya will be reopened as of 1 November. We have a total of 6 races and 3 training days waiting for you:

  • Landrunning World Series 2021 Pattaya Station
  • 3 training days with sprint and middle distances
  • Thailand International Orienteering Championship with sprint, forest and urban middle, urban long, and a special New Year Micro-O! (3 of these are included in the Pattaya City Race, which will count for #AsiaCityRace2022)

Prices have also dropped—it’s €125 per person for a Landrunning package for 2, €165 per person for a TIOC weekend package for 2, €470 per person for a package for 2 with all the races and training sessions. All packages come with accommodation at the 4-star Ravindra Beach Resort & Spa on the Jomtien coast facing the Gulf of Thailand.

As a booking at a SHA+ certified hotel is required for international visitors coming under the reopening scheme, and also to better manage event logistics and hygiene, we ask that all international runners book an official hotel package. In fact, you’re saving over 80% in hotel prices by booking with us through a package (after all, it’s during the Christmas & New Year holiday peak)!

Explore Thailand with better orienteering

Having gained much experience from the earlier editions, we’re coming better and stronger for Pattaya 2021! With expanded training for new Thai orienteers, we’ll make sure TIOC this year to be a success.

ORIEN.ASIA is helping Thailand with creating a new generation of orienteers who will take initiative in forming orienteering life of the country, with nationwide events and representation in international events. With the large and active running community here, we also hope to attract more runners to try orienteering by Landrunning events, which combine elements of running with orienteering.
